Rotary is an international organization that puts service above self and focuses on projects within local communities as well as internationally. The Semiahmoo Rotary Club locally supports Atira Women’s Society (Christmas Gifts and Hampers for women and children fleeing domestic abuse), Sources Food Bank, Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society, Mobile Dental Clinic and much more. Our club helps youth through providing learning and leadership opportunities, such as RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, YAIL (Youth Adventures in Leadership), SASSY Awards (Service Above Self in South Surrey Youth) and international student exchanges. Internationally we have focused on literacy and health projects in Haiti, Uganda and Mexico through the provision of books, specialized wheelchairs, medical equipment and other much needed supplies and programs.
As part of the Annual Golf Tournament this year, the Semiahmoo Rotary Club is partnering with SOURCES who have launched a “Comfort and Care during COVID-19” response fund to provide much needed mental wellness and community support services to individuals and families young and old, who are suffering from abuse, addiction, anxiety, hunger, homelessness and more.
We look forward to you participating in our 50/50 jackpot as a way to help us to raise money to continue to do good in both our local and international communities.
